Nicky Hampton

I am the Fundraising & Marketing Manager at Great Oaks Hospice, in the Forest of Dean.

I am passionate about raising funds and promoting the services offered by the fantastic local charity I work for, and I embrace every opportunity that presents itself to share how amazing and important the service we provide is to our Forest community.

Hospices play such an important role in our communities but their statutory funding is diminishing while the need for the care and compassion, only a hospice can provide, keeps growing; so, while my fundraising role and my targets might be challenging at times, I understand the importance and impact our services have on the lives and deaths of those in my community, and that motivates me to encourage donors, foundations, supporters, corporates and individuals to support us, however they can, because "Giving is not just about making a donation. It is about making a difference" (Kathy Calvin).
